Stefano Colafranceschi is an assistant professor at James Madison University whose work brings together industrial engineering, data science, and applied physics. He holds degrees in aerospace, astronautical, and industrial engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” along with advanced technical training at CERN and postdoctoral research experience at Florida Institute of Technology.
With more than two decades of experience across higher education, CERN, and INFN, he has led research and technical work in machine learning, database systems, detector technologies, and large-scale experimental infrastructure. His background in international research, engineering leadership, and interdisciplinary teaching gives his writing a strong foundation in both technical depth and real-world application.
